DANGER at home: Non-stick cookware

Hi Everyone,

It is this time of the year again….. Family and Friends get together to celebrate and share some nice meals together.

I hope you all know by now how important it is to choose well sourced, ORGANIC food. If you want you and your family to be healthy and support our beautiful planet, there is no other way to go. Unfortunately today, we are surrounded by so many toxins that eating good food might not be enough. And one thing to take into consideration is the quality of the cookware we use. Choose one with toxic metals and chemicals leaking into your food and you lose all the benefits of this high-quality food you are eating.

Teflon, for example. When heating Teflon-coated cookware, studies show that after 2-5 minutes, dangerous toxins are produced and leak into the air AND into your food. At least 6 toxic gasses can be released, including PFOA and TFE, proven carcinogens and MFA, proven deadly to humans even at low dose.

It has been proven today that DuPont, the Company that created Teflon, had long known that PFOAs caused cancer, that their fabrication poisoned drinking water and polluted blood of people and animals worldwide.

Here is the list of some terrible health effects due to these chemicals:

Liver toxicity, neonatal toxicity and death, tumors in multiple organs, testicular and kidney cancers, reduced hormone levels, reduced birth weight and size…

Today you can avoid those dangerous toxic chemicals by avoiding the following:

-          - Stain-repellents

-          - Flame-retardant chemicals

-          - Wrappers from fast foods

-          - Microwave popcorn

-          - NON-STICK cookware. CHOOSE INSTEAD Titanium, ceramic, enamelled cast iron

 

I truly hope this will help you make better choices regarding your home environment and especially your cookware. By being aware of it, you can take better decisions for you and your loved ones.
