Who cares?

How many times have you said: "I really want to do this, but I can't: people would laugh at me!"

Who cares?

Most people care about what others think or say about them. Initially, I'd say: it's normal. We live together, no one likes criticism, everyone wants to be liked.

But think about it twice.

How many times have you thought:

  • -"I really want to do this, but I can't — people would laugh at me"
  • -"I can't do that — what will people say? What will my family think?"
  • -"I can't do that — they'd be so disappointed. That's not what they expect from me"

We've all had these thoughts. But honestly... what for?

You want to do something. You know it will make you happy. You don't.

Why? Because people might not like you anymore? Because their opinion matters more than your happiness and dreams?

Their opinion is THEIR opinion. Why should it have such impact on YOUR life? You're the only one living your life. Will they be in your skin? NO. So why bother?

My Experience

I worked in banking as a Sales Trader. Then I changed completely and pursued what makes me happy: helping people with holistic health.

At first, it was hard talking about it:

  • -To banker friends
  • -To family
  • -Blocked by thoughts: "What will they think? Will they think I lost my mind? Will they still talk to me? Will I disappoint them?"

So I didn't do anything for months. But deep down, I knew exactly what I wanted and had to do.

One day, I decided: "That's it. This is who I am and want to be. I don't care what they think because I'll be so happy and empowered doing what I love that negativity won't bother me anymore."

What happened?

  • -Yes, some people were surprised
  • -Some stopped talking to me
  • -Most came asking what I was doing and how I got here
  • -When they saw my passion, energy, love for what I was doing, there was nothing negative to say
  • -Most said: "I envy you"

The Truth

Whatever you do in life, you'll always have:

  • -People who criticize
  • -People who point fingers
  • -People who try to put you down

It doesn't matter. You don't need those people. The real ones — who want the best for you — will always support and help you on your way, whatever the way is.

The Lesson

Listen to your gut. Do the things you really want to do. Go for it. Believe in yourself.

Free yourself from unnecessary negativity and believe you can do it.

Empower yourself and prove them wrong. Those who criticize, judge, think badly? Prove them wrong.

Keep in mind: their negativity toward you is only their own perception of themselves. Often, those people actually wish they could do the same.

Hope this liberates your beautiful souls and lets you express your talents.

In Love and Happiness,

Stephanie
